Yeah, there are multiple options. I do like having my own "brand" online - the jdhunt domain, so I'm not certain I would go into any of the free options. Unless I want to really rant and stir the pot. I actually was just over at the Graffiti site on codeplex, I may take some time over the break and play with the source code. It looks like routing is part of the source code. For all the bitchin' going on at the Graffiti Support forums, I have had few complaints. Looks like we could use a rich textbox for comments though...

your best bet with graffiti is to wait around a bit and see what, if any, development groups form up around it, and compare their intentions, etc. it will be months before anything reliable appears, though - and i'm not even talking software.

while you're at it, given that you seem to be itching for new professional horizons in your online presence, this could be a time to look at a wider scope of technologies, non-M$ included. and in particular, cloud things. aws, azure, gae ...

or, if it's more about things you have to say, perhaps consider giving up the roll/host-your-own end of things, and just use one of the free online services. there's still a lot of room for creating ga/wi-dgets & web2.0 stuff.

happy re-branding !

[need bigger comment box]

[i miss being able to log in]

telligent taking on intel as vc last summer is the problem. a lot of things that were "right" over there has been removed, and a lot of "wrong" seems to be building. and i never did get a chance to play with graffiti - always seems like a good idea. and how about "social graffiti" as a future path ? in other words, can opt-in to the network of all/selected graffiti installations, with accompanying extra features.

and there were other plans once mentioned for graffiti features that sounded good - hard to recall now.

sadness, all around.

Yep, major let down. Yeah, I have a couple of posts in mind, but haven't gotten to it. I suppose slacking has taken a greater priority.

No disrespect towards the castle. It is regarded highly in these parts.

I think I've read fsj once or twice, I couldn't be channeling him through that small exposure, could I be?

I was really careful to not call it WLW - don't need any "The Big One" references ;-) The ease of adding images is one thing that caught my eye also. And it seems to post a heck of a lot quicker than the actual web interface.

Subtext does have it's problems, but it also is a "blog only" engine. The blog title thing is a problem, I'm guessing it is a unique index in the DB. They should have made it a multi-field unique index - using the date AND the post title. If I cared more I would look into it.

I've thought about trying out GraffitiCMS - perhaps create a third level domain for fun just to give it a whirl. I'll let you know if I go forth with it.
